TV Shows

Stranger Things

This sci-fi/horror series has had everyone on the edge of their seats since Season 2’s highly anticipated release on Netflix.  After months of being nagged by my friends, I finally decided to start the series.  Sci-fi typically isn’t my thing, but I was instantly hooked on “Stranger Things.”  The plot is difficult to describe– you just have to trust me and watch it to find out.  However, I would block out some time before starting the series because you cannot stop after just one episode.

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

So this one doesn’t really qualify as a TV show, but it had to make the list.  The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is the largest parade in the entire world, and it is as impressive as it sounds.  From the giant floats, to celebrity guests, to the Rockette routine, the Parade is entertaining and festive.

Movies

Charlie Brown Thanksgiving

All of the Charlie Brown movies are favorites of mine.  In my opinion, “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” makes up for the lack of Thanksgiving movies.  It is aired on ABC every November, and I can always manage to fit it into my schedule because it is only 25 minutes long.

Food

Soup

I tend to catch the cold when the seasons change, which means I have a lot of soup in November.  There are infinite flavors, which means that even the pickiest eaters can find a soup that they will enjoy.

Thanksgiving Food

I know this seems pretty broad, but I couldn’t possibly list every one of my favorite Thanksgiving foods.  From the rolls, to the mashed potatoes, to the apple pie, I just love all Thanksgiving food.  Thanksgiving food is also great because it still tastes pretty good the next day, so you can eat it for the rest of the week.

Pillsbury Sugar Cookies

Pillsbury Sugar Cookies are a timeless classic.  They taste amazing both raw and baked, and are completely effortless to prepare.  The best part is that these cookies aren’t just for November; you can find them for almost every holiday!

Activities

Cyber Monday Shopping

If Black Friday at the mall is too chaotic for you, you have to try Cyber Monday.  You get access to the same great sales online, and you don’t have to tackle anybody for the last iPhone.  Bonus: Most websites have free shipping as well.

Friendsgiving

This year, I am attending my first “Friendsgiving.”  Don’t get me wrong, I love Thanksgiving with my family, but the holidays can always be pretty stressful.  With Friendsgiving, everyone brings a small dish to dinner, so you do not have to put a lot of effort into it.  Friendsgiving is a great way to relax and show your friends how thankful you are for them.

Random Things/Essentials

Chapstick

Once the air starts to get colder, Chapstick is an absolute essential for me.  The feeling of chapped lips is the worst, so I always carry Chapstick with me to prevent them as much as possible.  Even though Chapstick cannot completely cure chapped lips, it does help a lot.

Fuzzy Socks/Slippers

There is nothing that I hate more than cold feet.  Therefore, November is the time of year when I whip out my fuzzy socks.  Aside from keeping my feet warm, fuzzy socks are awesome because they let you run and slide around on hardwood floors 🙂
